I know it's been a long time since I've blogged I need to get better at this. So, a few weeks ago I just got thinking how I feel my life is just routine. Everyday is the same thing for me. Get up with the kids, feed them breakfast, play, snack time, play, lunch, take Davis to school, go home, Adie naps, pick up Davis, go to work, come home and go to bed. And the next day it starts again. I love being home with my kids and I love doing things with them. My kids are getting at the age where they play well together . I know my kids come first in their needs, but maybe two or three times a week I would like to work on something that would be just for me. The problem is which this may seem silly, I don't have any hobbies and I would like to figure one out. I've spent the past 5 years tending to my kids that I've seem to have forgotten who I am and the things I like to do. Do any of you have any suggestions or ideas that could be fun to do? Just some things that isn't too expensive or just something fun that I could do. I would love to hear any ideas that you have to share!!! Please do!!

Halloween 2009
Halloween was so fun. We went to BOO! at the zoo with some friends where we went and walked around the zoo and went trick or treating with the animals. Adie and Davis had such a great time. Here we are by the giraffes. I didn't get a lot of pictures because my camera battery died!!! I was not happy but the kids had so much fun.
This is halloween day we painted pumkins and Adie wanted to eat the paint :/ She got it all over herself if you can't tell in this picture a bath was definatly needed after this!!

In their Halloween attire.... cut isn't it? And they look so happy. Then of course we have Mr. Dash Incredible!! He was making some cute poses.... It was so funny and he was super fast!
Miss Adeline the Ladybug It was so fun making this costume I had to trim the tutu twice so it didn't overpower her petite body. She couldn't wait to get that thing on!!
We went to my sister in law's parents house becasue they make delicious donuts and hand them out for trick or treating and we went around trick or treating with cousins in the neighborhood there. So here they are getting some great lute!! They had a blast.

California Trip (WARNING: picture overload)
So Steve and I got to go on a fun vacation, it was pretty much a second honeymoon for us. It was so much fun... Steve's parents let us have one of their weeks for one of their time shares. It was something that we both needed... with our schedules we don't see eachother very much so when his parents offered us a week we took it up right away!! It was so wonderful!! We started out in South Lake Tahoe and and this is their private beach they have. The weather was awesome!!! Averaging 60's all week!! It was so peaceful to go out and lay on the beach and just enjoy the soothing sounds of the waves. I could do that for hours!!
Next is San Fransisco. On our trip, Steve planned it out so that we would be going to 3.... yes 3 different Hard Rock Cafe's... for those of you who did not know... Steve is OBSESSED with Hard Rock Cafe. They have pretty cool memorabilia from many, many, different musicians. It is pretty cool. So this is the one in San Fransisco.
Us Driving to San Fransisco... I'm not a huge fan of sitting in the car for hours and hours... so I was trying to find things to do and I took a MILLION pictures of us in the car... I know.... lame but I was bored!!
We went to the aquarium on Pier 39, this is an angelfish....they were SO HUGE, but really cool. The Aquarium was fun to go to but there wasn't a whole lot to look at... this is probably the coolest thing there...
The Crookedest Street. At the top of this hill and down a long the hill, there of course were tourists everywhere... we drove down and through the street and got to the bottom and there were a slew of people!!!! I didn't get a picture but it was CRAZY!!
This was really cool we were able to tour Alcatraz... ( my picture got deleted!! so just pretend there is a picture of Alcatraz island) we were there for at least 2 to 3 hours and did an audio tour which was given by former inmates... it was cool to hear alot of the different things that went on there. It was very interesting and would recommend it to anybody! Our picture taken at Alcatraz island in front of San Fransisco. Pretty cool skyline!!

And of course Hard Rock Cafe in Sacaramento...we made a trip there to eat and of course go shopping!! Sacramento had a very cool mall.
And us... We had such a great time!! It was a very rejuvenating week for us. It was fun to be with each other and to get to know each other again!! (so to speak) I love you babe thanks for a wonderful trip!!Thursday, September 17, 2009
Litte Red School House
So my boy started preschool last week. I can't believe how big he is getting!!! Where does the time fly? He was so excited all summer to go to school and it's finally here!!! Hopefully he will always be excited to go to school! He was excited to take his blue backpack to school. I gotta tell you... when I took him into his classroom, I thought for sure he was going to cling to me and not want me to leave... nope... not at all... he ran right into the room and started playing with the toys!! He let me take his picture for first day memories but then he was ready for it... he did give me a hug and kiss but then he wanted nothing else to do with me. Of course the cry baby I am when it comes to milestones, I cried on my way back to the car!!! I can't believe he's growing up so fast. Friday, August 14, 2009
Birthday's and more birthdays
So last weekend we were full of presents, fun and birthday cakes!! We had birthday parties that we had. We had a lot of fun though and the kids really enjoyed themselves. My baby boy is 4 years old. I really can't believe it!! He starts preschool next month!! Davis had a Monster Truck theme party this year and was lucky enough to have two parties in a row!! So he got a birthday Cookie and a Birthday cake.
Davis got a bike for his birthday that he has been eyeing for months... literally months that he has been wanting for his birthday. Every time we went to the store, he had to go test drive it and he sure was hoping to get it for his birthday. He had to ride it right away!!! So this is us at nine o clock in the morning taking his bike for a ride. It's worth seeing this smile on his face!
Adie and my niece Miriam have the same birthday so this year we decided to throw a combined birthday party. A fairy party, we made tutu's for the girls to wear for the party. We never got a picture of them together but they were all cute!! We had a lot of fun!! We also had a Tinkerbell cake that I had made for the fairy bash!
Adie digging into her presents!! She got spoiled (as always).
Davis loved his Monster truck cake!!! He is so big!!
Adie in her cute fairy outfit!! I am not a good homemaker but I think I did a pretty good job on her tutu even though it's the simplest thing to make!!! We had a super busy weekend and we were completely exhausted from all the fun. It is hard having birthdays so close like that, but what are you gonna do!! We did have tons of fun though. My kids mean the world to me and I would do anything for them!

Eight years ago...

Eight years ago today I had a baby boy that I had placed into a very loving families home. I can't believe it's been eight years and he is going to be baptized. I just wanted him to know that I love him so much that I gave him something I wouldn't have been able to provide myself at the time. I am so grateful for him. Without him I wouldn't be were I am today. He changed my life. I am so grateful for his family who treat me so well and I know have taken him in and have loved him even before he was born. They are such a wonderful family and wouldn't have wanted it anyother way. He has a special place in my heart always and forever. I want to let ALL of my family and friends to know I am grateful for their love and support that they had shown me throughout this whole thing. Especially my mom for being by my side the whole step of the way. I love you Tyrone. Happy Birthday.Thursday, June 4, 2009
