Gratitude and Blessings

With Thanksgiving and the Holidays coming up, I have been thinking alot about the blessings that I have overcome in my life. I am overwhelmed with the wonderful blessings that Heavenly Father has given me. When I hear things on the news or with things happening to people around me. I can't help but think of the overwhelming gratitude I have of my life. I can't think of anyone better to share my life with more than my husband and my children. Everytime I look at them, I always wonder "how did I get so lucky?" Everyone has trials in their life and we all take them differently and we all come out of it differently. And the trials I have had to overcome have become great blessings to me. A blessing particular I think of around the holidays especially is my son that I placed lovingly into another families arms. I know that is a trial I had to bear because it got me to where I am now. Placing him was something that I knew I had to do and I know Heavenly Father wouldn't let me down or let me fail because I know that I have blessed someone else's life because I gave them something they couldn't every have on their own. I believe I am here for that purpose. Every once in a while I go back and read letters that were sent to me from my special family and I know how happy they are and how grateful they are for what I have done and it always makes me feel so good to know that I have helped someone in a very special and rare way. I don't know where I would be right now if it weren't for my son. He has blessed my life in so many different ways. I haven't talked alot about this mainly because no one really has asked me about it. And it feels good to talk about it. I feel it's been bottled up for so long that i'm hiding it. I don't want to hide it because it is a huge part of my life that I am forever holding into my heart. And through this experience I want to thank all of my family for the love and support through this hard time, they are so amazing and I know that I couldn't have made it without them. I felt I needed to share this to anyone who feels like listening. I am grateful for Eternal Familes.

Updated photos (of the kids)

Well, these are updated photos of Davis and Adie. They were taken at the pre school my mother in law teaches at. The lady that does it is so great with the kids. Although it may not look it, but when Davis first sat down on the chair he kept his head down and he would not look up for the life of me. He was being so shy and was "trying" not to smile. But she was amazing and made him smile, and he is actually laughing in this picture which makes it even more like how Davis is. At one point Davis started picking his nose and she got a clear shot!!! It was hilarious I'm glad she didn't develope that one!!! And of course, Adie, she is so funny she wanted to play with the camera or eat her snacks, she had a snack in each hand just so we could get her to behave!!! Silly kids!! I sure love them to death though!

A tribute to Dad

15 years ago this month my father rejoined with Our Father in Heaven. He passed on from an 8 year battle of Lou Gherigs disease. Even though he was restrained from doing many of the things he wanted to do, he was never restrained from being with his family which I know is what he loved the most out of life. I want my father to know how much I love him and miss him and appreciate his amazing example he was to me and still is. He is so special to my heart. He always seemed to have a smile on his face. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anybody. I want my mom to know how much I love her and and how much I admire her for the strength she has had with the loss of her love of her life. Thanks for all you have done for me mom. Your an amazing person. I am blessed to have the best parents in the universe. I am so grateful for the atonement of Christ, for the opportunity we have to live with him again to be with our families for eternity. It would be difficult to not have the knowledge of being able to be with our family after this life here on earth. Thanks for all you have done for me. Dad I love you and miss you.

Halloween...

Halloween was a lot of fun for Davis this year. This is the year he really knew what he was doing and he enjoyed it thoroughly!!! We went to my sister in laws parents house where they make this delicous homemade doughnuts. And then we went trick or treating around their neighborhood. Which was so awesome because they had the best candy and the trick or treating was like I remember it being. There were kids every where walking up and down the streets and at each house there was at least 2 groups of trick or treaters. Which the last few years since trunk or treat has been around not many homes get trick or treaters. I feel bad for my husband because he stayed home to hand out candy and only got 2 trick or treaters!! Sorry babe!! It was too bad cause he wanted to trick or treat with the kids. Well, next year he will come with us. Adie was loving the ride, I just put her in the stroller and she enjoyed watching all the kids walk by and seeing all the excitement all around. We had a lot of fun and Davis was in candy heaven!!! Thanks for letting us come and trick or treat with you Spencer and Annie!! We had lots of fun!!

Halloween Party at Grandmas!

On Saturday my mom had a Halloween party for all of her grandkids. The kids had a lot of fun. We had games such as ring toss, pin the face on the pumpkin, bobbing for apples. Lucy, my niece was so funny trying to bob for apples, she didn't want to put her nose in the water, so she put her head down as far as the surface to try and grab the apple . She kept saying "I can' t get it". Lucy is such a cute thing and makes me laugh!! I love you Lucy!! My mom also had each family go trick or treating at her house so she could give her special treats out. For lunch she made mummy pizzas and jello with gummy spiders in them. There was this sorbet punch that glowed in the dark!! It was a lot of fun. The kids love putting on their costumes and playing together. It's nice to be able to get together with all of my family because I don't see them often living further away.
